Amazing day yesterday sharing a slice of life with BFF. Today gonna go for a walk on some trails with MINI Cooper the Wonder Doglet and my lil sister from Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Sometimes it's just wonderful to be alive.

Also, our dear friend Scottab and his wife added our Maltese, Pookee, to their pack. Can't even begin to express how grateful I am for them!!

Took the MINI out from it's slumber for about an hour ride, what a beautiful day!

Checked out some used cars in Watertown to replace the beater car, which is getting very beat.

Busy weekend! Saturday started with a nice long walk with Ginger, down to Mystic, around the Seaport and back. Then prepped and spackled the bathroom, vacuumed and washed the cars, cleaned up around the yard - including taking down the xmas lights...

At 6, off to Hot Rod Cafe in New London for dinner with friends. Finish the night with a black and tan at Harp 'n Hound back in Mystic.

More Sunday. Walk the dog, paint the bathroom, clean up, air up the tires in the Mini, walk the dog. Tired. Sore.

Ella did all that and went into work for a couple hours both mornings.

I drove around Westchester and Putnam Counties both yesterday and today testing out some routes for this RDR that I somehow volunteered to organize. It is coming along. I hope to have the event in April.

Ms. Czechmate was making a squeaking/screeching sound for most of the drive today. At the last stop Bill (otto26) and I determined it was coming from the back drivers side wheel. We looked underneath and saw a rubber cover (for what I don't know) was hanging down and scrapping against my rim. It didn't look repairable so I gave him permission to cut it off with his pocket knife. The sound is gone but I guess I will be making a visit to Westchester Mini this week to find out what it was.

Took a drive so I could drive somemore.. what a spectacular day. Sunroof open all the way. Cheeseburger, onion rings... etc.

what else are weekends for? And why am I craving popcorn?

I got on a plane in Myrtle Beach, NC, headed to LaGuardia, at about 2 pm Sat., and it was all downhill from there. Too windy to land, after holding on the ground, and then in the air, so got diverted to Baltimore, finally got to hotel at about midnight. Bus ride up to NY on Sunday............still tired, but home, with no weather related problems there!

Caught the movie White Ribbon, went to the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Albany, and saw Natalie Merchant in concert in Troy. Slept in on Sunday.

As I picked up some pizza for my son's birthday party, I watched oaks and pines swaying like grass in a field. Large tree branches down everywhere... I'm always happy to motor, but I was never so happy to back into the garage and shut the door!

Woke up the Justa from his winter slumbers and took him out for a short ride. The classic didn't want to start up just yet. Next on the list is getting the S ready for its first track day next Saturday at Lime Rock.

Saturday drove to My Greylock, Great Barrington (Bizen)

Went to the New York Botanical Garden for their Orchid show. All I can say is WOW!

Walked around after, the crocus are up and the Spice bush (Lindera benzoin) and Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) are in bloom. Even some of the Shadblows (Amelanchier arborea) and Red maples (Acer rubrum) were in bloom. Great time of year!
